Illustrations for ASSIST
Throughout 2015 and 2016, ASSIST needed original illustrations to use across various marketing channels as well as their website. My role was to come up with the concepts, deliver sketches, validate and execute – all within a single visual identity. Below is a curated set of illustrations used either on their homepage, social media or landing pages.
Client: ASSIST
2015-2016

Homepage banner – Akademie Assist (isometric illustration)

With these banner illustrations, I aimed for high attention to detail
Sometimes, that meant illustrating ballpoint pens and item reflections

COBOL.cz – timeline illustrations. With COBOL.cz, the aim was to show that even though it’s one of the oldest programming languages, COBOL is here to stay – hence a timeline featuring machines running COBOL in the 1960s, 1980s, today and in the future.

IBM Z illustration – this one was used on ASSIST’s services listing page

Google Apps For Work – one of the areas ASSIST was consulting their clients in. Therefore, they needed an illustration accompanying a Google Apps For Work banner.

This illustration featuring one of the most famous Prague landmarks was used when showcasing ASSIST’s English courses.
Reflection
Even though these illustrations are just some of many projects I’ve worked on and over a decade old, they hold a special place in my heart. Designing for Assist (which was one of my first clients) was a career phase where I was learning a lot, advancing rapidly and figuring out how design actually integrates in the overall business. Being able to pay a lot of attention to detail, establish my own design direction and go through a large volume of projects made all the time spent on these illustrations (and others; since this is just a selection) worth it.
